Project Example
Health Care
Ensuring adequate health care services are available to our area of Appalachia was a focal point in the 80s. The Coolville Medical Center was opened in Athens County in 1980, and the Morgan County Health Center, operated by Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville and the Morgan County Commissioners, was also completed in 1980. The opening of this health center fulfilled over eight years of work by many different agencies, groups and individuals. Buckeye Hills coordinated funding for the project.
