Economic Development Administration (EDA)
The Economic Development Administration (EDA) provides funding for projects that create jobs in distressed areas of the United States. The Development Department serves as the liaison between the EDA and eligible applicants in the District. As part of this service, the Department annually prepares and submits a Comprehensive Economic Strategy (CEDS) to evaluate and determine the economic health of the region. In order to apply for funding through the EDA, the project must be identified as a priority of the CEDS.
