Aging in Appalachia: A Summit for Southeast Ohio


From healthcare to transportation to community building and others, this one-day event will feature an overview of current challenges as well as innovative solutions highlighting real work being accomplished on the ground to improve the lives of seniors in southeast Ohio.


Our very first Aging Summit is being held on Tuesday, July 16th from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Buckeye Hills Regional Council in Marietta, OH. This event will bring together community leaders, elected officials, practitioners and more to explore the topic of aging in Appalachia.

Lunch will be provided to all attendees, courtesy of Special Occasions Catering in Marietta, OH.

Registration is $35 for the general public. Members of the Buckeye Hills General Policy Council and/or Regional Advisory Council will receive a discounted rate, out of gratitude for their service to our organization. A discount code may be accessed by emailing
