Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behavior

  • Buckeye Hills Regional Council 1400 Pike Street Marietta United States (map)

Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as their ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage.

Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer's and dementia.

This event is part of the 2019 Community Workshop Series hosted by Buckeye Hills Regional Council and produced by the Alzheimer's Association of Cincinnati. Each event in the series is the 4th Tuesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., March through July

All workshops are free and open to the community.
