Position: Communications Director

Responsibilities

This position’s primary responsibilities are public & media relations, advertising strategy & placement, and building strategic relations to promote the programs and services of Buckeye Hills across five divisions.

The Communications Director is responsible for keeping the public informed of activities, obtaining feedback about agency programs to improve existing or develop new program offerings, and networking & building relationships with the media, public, and communities served by Buckeye Hills. The Communications Director is also responsible for fund development, special events, and raising the profile of Buckeye Hills.

Education/Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university

  • Minimum of (5) years experience in communications, community relations, public affairs, and/or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Experience with government relations a plus.

Benefits

We offer an excellent benefits package including employee paid health, vision, and dental plans, generous paid leave, and PERS. The minimum starting salary for this position is $53,000.
